田舎に住んでいますと、連休だと言えば百姓だとなるわけです。
私なんぞは、普段ほとんど百姓をしていないのですが、
米作りだけはちょっとするのです。
この時期は堆肥をまいたり草を刈ったり、除草剤を使わないので
田植え後の草取り用の道具を作ったり、なんやかんやあるのです。
そしてきっと連休明けには、あそこが痛いここが痛いと愚痴を言っているのです。
でも、それでも肉体疲労は心地いいものです。
昨年は、保育所の米はバッチリだったのですが、我が家の米は散々でした。
草に負けてしまいました。
それで今年こそはと、色々本を読んだり人から話を聞いたり
準備だけはまあぼちぼち・・・
保育所のほうは、昨年はバッチリだったのですが、更にバッチリにしようと
明日堆肥をまきます。ですから、麦藁帽子を被って野良着を着て
万全の百姓スタイルで頑張りますよ。
きっと夜のビールがうまいじゃろなぁ。
子どもたちにもお手伝いをお願いして
わたしたちが作るお米・・・と言う意識を持たせて、いよいよ米作りの始まりです。
秋にはきっと、おいしいお米が出来上がるぞ。
収穫祭で、食べていただけますよ。
